Description

The HR & Office Assistant is a part-time, entry-level opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional looking to begin or grow a career in Human Resources and office administration. As the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and vendors, you will help create a welcoming and professional office environment while providing essential administrative support to the Human Resources team.

In this role, you will assist with a variety of HR and office functions, including reception, office administration, travel coordination, supply management, recordkeeping, and general administrative support. Qualifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Office Administration:

  • Serve as the receptionist by greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Order, stock, and maintain office, breakroom, and kitchen supplies.
  • Coordinate conference room scheduling and meeting preparations.
  • Assist with company events, meetings, and employee functions.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, rental cars, and itineraries for employees and executives.
  • Maintain office equipment and coordinate service or repairs when necessary.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, copying, and document organization.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties as assigned.

Human Resources Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team.
  • Assist with onboarding activities as needed.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure documents are filed accurately electronically.
  • Assist with employment verifications and HR document requests.
  • Prepare HR correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining HR records while ensuring confidentiality of employee information.
  • Support HR projects and other departmental initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous administrative, receptionist, customer service, or office support experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
