Job description

Kickstart Your Engineering Career - Applications Engineer (Entry-Level)
Ready to turn your mechanical engineering knowledge into real-world impact? We're looking for a curious, hands-on Applications Engineer to help solve customer challenges with innovative sealing solutions.
What You'll Do
You won't just sit behind a desk - you'll dive into real engineering problems:
  • Work directly with customers to understand applications and recommend solutions
  • Learn and apply products like gaskets, O-rings, EMI shielding, thermal materials, and Gore vents
  • Review drawings, specs, and technical requirements
  • Assist in designing part-level solutions based on manufacturing capabilities
  • Support technical quotes, answer engineering questions, and collaborate with sales
  • Research materials, competitors, and alternative solutions
  • Document insights and contribute to smarter, faster decision-making

Why This Role Stands Out
This is more than an entry-level job - it's a launchpad. You'll get structured training, hands-on experience, and mentorship to grow into a confident applications engineer.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • 0-3 years of experience (internships/co-ops count!)
  • Familiarity with CAD tools like SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Clear communication and a customer-first mindset

You'll Thrive Here If You...
  • Love figuring out how things work
  • Ask questions and keep learning
  • Enjoy collaborating across teams
  • Take ownership and follow through

What Success Looks Like
Growth. Accuracy. Responsiveness. Strong communication. Becoming the go-to technical resource customers trust.
Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working on a computer, phone, and logistics systems.
  • Occasional standing and walking to interact with colleagues, suppliers, or while moving through office and manufacturing areas.
  • Occasionally required to lift, carry, or move boxes, documents, or materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment.
  • Requires close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus when reviewing shipment documentation, system data, and customs paperwork.
  • Must be able to hear and communicate clearly for phone conversations, video calls, and in-person collaboration.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, or stooping may be required to access files, supplies, or materials.
  • Ability to travel periodically to supplier sites or carrier facilities as needed.
  • Ability to work in both office and production environments may involve moderate noise levels, temperature variation, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual team members. Salary for this role is $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year based upon experience.
