Primary Purpose
To teach part-time as an adjunct curriculum biology instructor as needed.
Position Duties
The instructor is responsible for providing effective instruction in the contracted course(s), utilizing innovative teaching strategies and incorporating new technologies suited to the course content and learners' needs. They must implement evaluation methods that accurately measure student attainment of stated competencies and ensure students understand their performance through regular review. A safe and orderly learning environment must be maintained in all instructional settings, including classrooms, labs, shops, and clinical areas. The instructor is expected to model professional behavior both on campus and in the community. Timely and accurate submission of reports, as well as the maintenance of academic, attendance, and student records, is essential. Active participation in professional development activities such as conferences, workshops, training, and independent study is required. Instructors contribute to the fulfillment of the College's Purpose and Goals and report to the Science Department Chair, performing other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
A Master's degree in Biology or a related field, with at least 18 graduate-level credit hours from a regionally accredited institution, is required. Strong oral and written communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential. Teaching experience is preferred. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly desirable.

Salary Range: Commensurate with education
Unofficial transcripts from all degree-granting, institutions must be electronically attached to your application or submitted to Human Resources before being considered for an interview. Official transcripts for all coursework and degrees will be required within 30 days of hire.
