Job Description
Position Description:
The Department of Computer Science at Long Island University (LIU) Post is inviting applications for part-time/adjunct faculty in Computer Science and Management Engineering. The department seeks to build a pool of highly qualified candidates to prepare and teach assigned courses either at the undergraduate Computer Science or graduate Management Engineering levels. The candidates need to adapt to a fast-paced learning environment and be proactive, creative, self-motivated and have a strong desire to introduce project-based and experiential learning opportunities in the assigned courses. Significant professional experience and/or equivalent research experience are highly desired.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- M.S. degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Management Engineering or closely related fields
- Ability to teach various undergraduate or graduate level courses
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to participate and contribute to the department assessment of learning
- Proficiency in computer programming languages and computational tools and platforms appropriate for the assigned courses
- Commitment for project-based learning and excellence and effectiveness in teaching
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of professional experience and/or equivalent research experience.
