Job description

Johnson College is currently seeking part-time adjunct instructors to instruct in a Computer-Aided Design course. This course covers various aspects of computer-aided design using Autodesk Fusion, which may include, but are not limited to, how to read and produce engineering drawings, 2D sketches, extrusion (straight, tapered, revolved, and loft), creating patterns, threads, fillets and chamfers, high-resolution renderings, and simulation studies. The ideal candidate should have the ability to speak confidently in front of a small group and the willingness to learn different aspects of pedagogy. All adjunct instructors are responsible for implementing the curriculum for their program, instructing assigned courses consistent with syllabi, and evaluating student learning.
Johnson College provides real-world, hands-on learning in a supportive environment and prepares graduates to enter into or advance their in-demand careers. Johnson College was founded in 1912 and is the region's only technical college, offering 18 associate degrees, four academic certificates, and over 30 continuing education programs. A low student-to-instructor ratio supports an emphasis on hands-on learning. Located in Scranton on a 44-acre campus with a satellite campus serving the greater Hazleton area, the College is an accredited, private, non-profit, co-educational institution with a strong tradition of working with regional businesses and industries to ensure a skilled and qualified workforce.
Johnson College does not discriminate with regard to race, color, creed, age, national or ethnic origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, and expression, including a transgender identity, genetics, veteran status, or ancestry in the administration of its educational and admission policies, scholarship, loan, athletic and other school-administered programs, or employment practices in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 9173, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, or any other legally protected category.
