ABOUT THE ROLE

The employee will be responsible for managing architectural models and production layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, ensuring efficient master mold collection and optimal production workflows. This role provides CNC technical and programming support to sister plants as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Create, modify, and manage 2D/3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • CNC programming using Fusion 360, V-Carve (preferred).
  • Interpret engineering and Architectural drawings and specifications to create accurate mold types.
  • Organize and optimize master molds for efficient production and pouring processes.
  • Collaborate with multiple manufacturing plants to ensure models are correctly adapted for each job.
  • Develop layouts and workflows that maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of design changes and production plans to ensure this is passed on to the CNC and production teams.
  • Coordinating with the CNC programming team, providing guidance and technical support.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of design and manufacturing processes.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit (a plus), to create and manage 2D/3D molds in a manufacturing or precast environment. They bring strong technical expertise in CNC programming and are able to translate engineering and architectural drawings into accurate, production-ready models and programs. This individual understands manufacturing workflows and can optimize master mold layouts to support efficient and consistent production.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and machining principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
  • Ability to convert designs into production-ready models or CNC programs.
  • Ability to maintain and manage accurate technical documentation and drawings.
  • Understanding of general manufacturing processes and production workflows.
  • Remote, but close to one of our facilities

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas.
  • May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration.
