Job description

Airswift is looking for a CAD Designer/Drafter II to work for a major O&G company in Midland, TX, for an initial 12-months assignment.
This opportunity offers the chance to support engineering drawing development within a technically focused design environment. The role is centred on producing and revising 2D CAD drawings including PFDs, P&IDs, one-lines, general layouts, plans, sections and details, while helping to maintain drawing quality, coordination and progress across project teams. This position will suit candidates with strong AutoCAD capability and the ability to communicate effectively across disciplines.
Required Skills:
  • Strong capability in developing and maintaining 2D CAD drawings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to work with engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
  • Experience preparing computer-generated drawings, isometrics, details, plans, schedules and data sheets.
  • Ability to produce dimensional layouts and non-dimensional drawings such as one-lines.
  • Ability to revise drawings based on engineering instruction.
  • Effective communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with design teams and support interface management across disciplines.
  • Capability to provide document control support, database administration and progress reporting.
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate drawing-related issues across engineering teams and keep supervision informed of progress, deviations and execution concerns.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to Microstation.
  • Exposure to SmartSketch.
  • Ability to support internal engineering general interest or global practice initiatives.
