Aerospace Drawing Checker / Configuration Management Specialist
Join a team where precision matters. We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Drawing Checker / Configuration Management Specialist to ensure engineering documentation is accurate, compliant, and production-ready. In this critical role, you'll help prevent costly manufacturing errors by validating engineering designs and maintaining strict configuration control throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Review engineering drawings, 3D models, and related documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
Verify compliance with ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) and aerospace engineering standards.
Evaluate designs for manufacturability, ensuring dimensions, materials, and finishes support efficient production.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and improve design quality.
Maintain engineering drawing hierarchy, aircraft applicability, and configuration control to ensure accurate product definition and traceability.
Support configuration management processes and engineering change activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience with aerospace CAD/PLM/PDM systems such as SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, CATIA V5, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, engineering drawing interpretation, and GD&T.
Familiarity with configuration management principles and engineering documentation control.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
