Job Description Manufacturing Engineer Location: Elkton, MI We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support equipment launches, manufacturing projects, and continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume automotive environment. This role combines hands-on manufacturing engineering with project coordination to ensure successful equipment transfers and production launches. Responsibilities Coordinate equipment launches and manufacturing projects.
Track project timelines, documentation, and open issues. Create and maintain work instructions, plant layouts, and engineering documentation. Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to support production and launch activities.
Drive process improvements that increase safety, quality, and efficiency. Qualifications Engineering degree or equivalent manufacturing experience. Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience.
Strong CAD skills and the ability to read mechanical drawings. Experience with manufacturing launches, project coordination, or program management. Lean Manufacturing knowledge and strong Excel skills.
Preferred: Stamping or press experience, Six Sigma, PLC exposure, and automated manufacturing experience.
