Responsibilities

  • Takes entries from owners, trainers, agents or other authorized persons and performs those duties related to assembling all pertinent information and aid in producing an overnight.
  • Use the RTO racing software to input entries into specified races listed for that entry days race card.
  • Insures integrity at time of entry by keeping all entries confidential in order to assist in reaching profitability, guest satisfaction, workforce strength and compliance goals T
  • Must have minimum three year’s experience in similar type position or equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Must meet licensing requirements of New Mexico Racing Commission
  • Must adhere to all local, state and federal standards, including OSHA requirements - High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills - Able to perform duties in all weather conditions

RequirementsLANGUAGE SKiLLS Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required. Ability to speak and understand Spanish is an asset.
REASONiNG ABiLiTY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
CERTiFiCATES, LiCENSES, REGiSTRATiONS Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
PHYSiCAL DEMANDS
The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. The employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 75 pounds and have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
