JOB SUMMARY
The Software Developer plays a critical role in the development, testing, and maintenance of full-stack web solutions supporting the organization's migration to CrafterCMS. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining modern web experiences through the creation of reusable front-end components, templates, and content authoring tools using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Vite. Working in a collaborative environment, the Software Developer partners with developers, engineers, content producers, marketing, creative, and editorial teams to deliver engaging and reliable web solutions that support business and customer needs. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, a passion for modern web technologies, and experience implementing scalable and maintainable digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience across the full web development lifecycle, including front-end and back-end development, API integrations, CMS implementations, workflow automation, and testing. This role requires a strong focus on building accessible, mobile-first, and responsive digital experiences that align with branding, usability, and cross-browser compatibility standards.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with a concentration in computer science or web development preferred.
  • Experience
    3 years of experience developing interactive websites and applications, including formal training in web development and
    Requires strong skills in HTML, CSS, and Javascript, as well as experience in programming for the web (PHP, Ruby, and Python) and
    Strong experience working with databases like MySQL, MS SQL Server, and Oracle and
    Openness to learning new technologies a must
    May consider education in lieu of minimum experience

JOB DUTIES
  • Configure innovative front-end interfaces and functionality for new and current websites, micro sites, online promotions, ad banners, interactive applications and other online interfaces.
  • Ensure all work output incorporates stakeholder requirements, employs best practices in UI, navigation, usability, and works in multiple browser platforms (including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc. for both PC and Mac).
  • Collaborate closely with web producers, developers, marketing managers and the creative and editorial teams on implementing static and interactive designs and web functionality.
  • Assist with information architecture development.
  • Support and expand upon institutional branding efforts, as well as business, market and user requirements.
  • Stay abreast of current trends in Web design, usability and information architecture.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
