Job Description:

Performs installation, maintenance and repairs on manufacturing or plant equipment such as HVAC, CNC Mills, Hydraulic Presses, Precision Grinding, Powder Batching, Kilns, and screen application equipment. Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components and performs troubleshooting using standard test equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals and verbal and/or written instructions.  Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.  Uses a variety of hand, power and test tools and equipment. Physical/Environmental demands sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting (not to exceed 50lbs), climbing ladders, noise, and working in outside environments.

Essential Functions:

  • Schedules vendors to perform facility related repairs and installations, to include plumbing, roofing, and air compressor maintenance.
  • Performs troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment at the highest level with little or no assistance from other sources.
  • Understands and repairs or replaces all equipment failures or defects in production equipment at every component level.
  • Works closely with manufacturing department to determine and set PM cycles for equipment of responsibility
  • Sets spare components inventory levels and orders replacement parts through current procurement processes 
  • Makes recommendations to improve safety related issues
  • Ability to implement equipment corrective action improvement projects
  • Trains others in troubleshooting techniques and assists them in repair of related manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to obtain Secret level security clearance. 
  • May require 24/7 on call support when need arises.

Qualifications: 

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • This role requires the ability to obtain a US Clearance which requires US Citizenship

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • SAP Plant Maintenance experience is a plus
    • Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into SAP
    • Maintain data records in SAP and record changes as they occur
    • Review upcoming PMs in SAP to schedule vendor support/Service
    • Review on hand parts/supplies to complete repairs/service
