Job description

Job Title: Production Specialist (Entry-Level Shop Employee)
Location: Pittsburg, CA 94565

Duration: 12 months โ€“ possible extension
Pay Rate: $25/hr on W2
Shift: 07:00 AM โ€“ 03:30 PM (Overtime & weekends as needed)

Job Overview

We are seeking an entry-level shop employee to support production operations. The ideal candidate will have basic assembly experience, the ability to read blueprints, and a strong team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up new production work areas, including layouts, tooling, and equipment
  • Assist with transitioning products from production to packing
  • Manufacture, assemble, and test mechanical products per specifications and procedures
  • Follow engineering drawings, models, and written work instructions
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and efficiency
  • Perform routine maintenance, including daily cleanup of work areas
  • Support additional tasks as needed to meet organizational goals

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic assembly experience and blueprint reading skills
  • Ability to interpret written instructions, specifications, and test procedures
  • Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft Office, Windows)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and climbing ladders/stairs
  • Ability to lift up to 44 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours as needed
  • Must meet U.S. work authorization requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade school certification or relevant technical training
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing or team-based environment
