Our cattle are raised on the rolling tallgrass prairie north of Manhattan, Kansas at Booth Creek Wagyu Ranch, where careful attention to genetics, nutrition, and animal care sets the foundation for exceptional beef. They are finished through our Wagyu Feeders operation, where a focus on animal health, ethical care, and consistent nutrition helps develop the marbling and flavor Wagyu is known for. Processing takes place at Meatworks of Kansas, our USDA-inspected harvest and fabrication facility, allowing us to oversee harvest, aging, and cutting while maintaining strict quality standards and full transparency. Through a combination of e-commerce and retail sales, Booth Creek Wagyu delivers premium beef directly to customers who value craftsmanship, consistency, and knowing exactly where their food comes from.

Job Description

Now hiring for our new location, located at 1161 E Southlake Blvd #202, Southlake, TX 76092! A retail associatewill be an energetic fan of beef and work in our new meat market and sampling kitchen. This position will educate customers on our Wagyu beef, be an avid storyteller of our Booth Creek Wagyu story, and match our products with the customers' needs. The individual hired for this role will be a high-energy, positive person who enjoys working with friendly teammates in a supportive, and fun work environment.

Customer Care:

  • Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store
  • Assessing customers' inquiries and suggesting solutions to their beef needs
  • Working with cash registers and processing payments
  • Preparing samples for tasting
  • Giving customers advice about sales and promotions
  • Using upselling techniques to increase store sales
  • Comprehensive understanding of Wagyu products
  • Collaborate on receiving and restocking inventory

Teamwork & Self-Accountability:

  • Ability to work cohesively with their team in a respectful and professional manner
  • Effectively communicates both orally and written. Utilizes company tools to communicate relevant information daily via the activity log and to their supervisor
  • Maintains a positive attitude and demeanor in all aspects of their position including room management and customer service
  • Maintains consistent time and attendance standards
  • Follows company dress code guidelines for professional and safe standards
  • Is on time for scheduled shifts and in the case of an emergency calls in advance of their shift to allow time for proper coverage
  • Takes their own development as a personal responsibility and uses mistakes or challenges as an opportunity to grow to a higher standard of performance

Steward of Building Care & Cleanliness:

  • Continually monitor cleanliness of sampling kitchen and retail shop
  • Perform daily cleaning assignments which may include, but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, taking out the trash, running the dishwasher and cleaning freezers
  • Follow standard cleaning procedures including proper use of chemicals to ensure a safe environment
Qualifications:
  • Flexible schedule to include weekends
  • Cattle experience preferred, but not required
  • Customer Service preferred, but not required
  • Computer skills preferred, but not required
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours, bend repetitively, and use cleaning products to disinfect and sanitize
  • Ability to move quickly throughout the shop while maintaining composure and keeping a smile
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 50 lbs.

Pay:

  • Pay Ranging from $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
