Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fiber Site Survey Technician to conduct pre-installation site surveys for fiber optic network deployments. The technician will assess existing infrastructure, document site conditions, identify installation requirements, and provide accurate reports to support successful fiber installations. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site fiber network site surveys.
Survey endpoints, pathways, racks, power, and grounding.
Record wireless conditions, mission constraints, and local processes.
Assess telecommunications rooms (MDF/IDF), conduit, cable pathways, and rack space.
Capture measurements, photographs, and detailed site documentation.
Identify installation challenges and recommend solutions.
Verify site access requirements and coordinate with customer personnel.
Submit accurate survey reports, drawings, and supporting documentation.
Communicate survey findings with project managers and engineering teams. Qualifications:
Experience with fiber optic or telecommunications infrastructure.
Knowledge of structured cabling and network environments.
Ability to read floor plans and network diagrams.
Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
