Loader Operator
General Responsibilities
  • Work safely - know, understand, and follow all safety rules
  • Handle, sort, and stack lumber by dimension, species and grade
  • Clean up equipment daily
  • Record and maintain a daily log
  • Perform weekly routine and preventative maintenance on the machine
  • Safely maintain the flow of the product
  • Utilize hand tools to clean up sawmill debris
Qualifications

  • Experience operating a large loader
  • Must be able to identify log species
  • Enthusiasm for being part of a team and working in a team-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and willing to take initiative

  • Ability to make decisions quickly utilizing hand-eye-hand-foot coordination
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
