Trailer Mechanics - Experienced AND Entry-Level Wanted
Ashford, AL / Full-time, W2 Employment
40-50 Truck fleet is seeking an Entry-Level AND Experienced Trailer Mechanic to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and grow in trailer repair and maintenance.
The right candidate will be eager to troubleshoot trailer issues, complete repairs efficiently and accurately, all while maintaining DOT compliance.
Responsibilities: 
  • Assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on flatbeds, dry vans, and semi-trailers.
  • Perform and learn to perform DOT inspections.
  • Help with brakes, lights, wiring, tires, doors, landing gear, hubs, bearings, suspension components and other basic trailer repairs.
  • Support preventive maintenance and shop cleanliness.
  • Work with experienced technicians while building hands-on skills.

Qualifications: 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Previous trailer or shop experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
  • Welding & Fabrication preferred, but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license required. CDL preferred, but not required.

Pay: $18 to $22 per hour, depending on experience and preferred qualifications
