) Transport Driver
Department: Operations / Transportation
Reports: Central Transportation Manager
Status: FT / Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Transport Driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation services to clients of Britelife Recovery. This includes admissions, discharges, medical appointments, and approved facility-related errands. Drivers represent Britelife Recovery professionally and play a key role in delivering compassionate and supportive experience for clients in transition.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport clients to and from treatment centers, medical appointments, hospitals, or client residences as needed.
  • Operate company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and BriteLife Recovery safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and fuel levels of assigned vehicles.
  • Assist clients entering and exiting vehicles, especially those with mobility challenges.
  • Complete transportation logs and trip documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate promptly with transportation coordinator or site point of contact regarding trip updates or delays.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle concerns immediately.
  • Ensure all transportation activity is conducted in a HIPAA-compliant and respectful manner.
  • Assist the Plant Operations Manager by scheduling or completing maintenance appointments as needed.
  • Regularly verify that all vehicle documentation (registration, insurance, inspection, etc.) is current and properly stored inside the vehicle, including the assigned fuel card.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clear driving record and ability to be insured.
  • Prior experience transporting clients in a healthcare, behavioral health, or customer service setting is preferred.
  • CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • NARCAN certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in high-stress or emotionally sensitive situations.
  • Strong communication skills and reliability.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and short notice shifts.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while driving.
  • Capable of assisting clients with entering/exiting vehicles.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

  • Completion of background check and drug screening.
