Our Technology Professional role is an entry level role that provides the opportunity to be involved in meaningful work/projects throughout the Information Technology organization. This position prepares candidates for advanced information technology positions through challenging assignments, and allows them to develop their skills and experience in emerging technologies. This position is involved in the full systems life cycle and responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software and systems. This Position works closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners and Group Product Managers to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and physical design of technical solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Learn network/LAN design and implementation for data and converged communications infrastructure based largely on Cisco equipment networking technologies. Participate in Network improvement projects and provide support services to assist internal client organizations in the pursuit of their business objectives. Participate in requirements gathering, solutions design, systems configuration and development for a variety of Networking, cloud and wireless solutions. Acquire wireless and mobile technology skills in a highly collaborative organization. Participate in network, security and wireless projects and improve productivity of internal client organizations and customers by deploying new hardware technology solutions focused on a combination of on premises and cloud based implementations. Work as a team member on projects related to network security and firewall improvement implementations. Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, testing and moving new systems into production. Learn to execute Infrastructure projects through the PSEG's Project Development Life Cycle (PDLC) and CMMI inclusive of identifying, specifying and analyzing business requirements and processes and managing progress throughout the hardware design, test and implementation process.

Job Specific Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or Information Sciences preferred, or STEM.
Level of experience requires minimum internship experience
within the IT field or an industry with reliance on technical expertise.
Basic knowledge of the practical application of role specific engineering science and technology including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Experience working with or related coursework to write software code in both web and client/server environments such as:
- Software Languages: Java, .Net, C, C++, HTML, XML, SQL, VBA, Node.js, Swift
- Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
- Relational Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, Aurora, Postgres, MongoDB
- Experience designing graphical user interfaces using graphical design tools (e.g. Photoshop, MS Visio)
- Experience with mobile app development (iOS, Android)
- Alexa skill development
MS Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.
Self-starting with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.
Detail oriented and demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to learn new business and technical concepts.
Good written and oral communication skills.
