Job description

Robertson Heating Supply Co., a 92-year-old distributor, is looking to fill an opening for a full-time Software Developer to join out IT Department.  This is an IN PERSON/ IN OFFICE POSITION IN ALLIANCE, OHIO

The Role:

As a result of the company’s continued growth in the heating and plumbing wholesale industry, we have a need for an additional full-time entry-level software developer. Duties include application (web & mobile) development/maintenance using PHP and MySQL in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software systems

- Design, develop and deploy new features using PHP & MySQL

- Collaborate with other members of IT Dept, corporate staff and end users to define requirements and deliver solutions

Hours: 8AM-5PM Mon-Fri, may be asked to rarely participate in Saturday coverage rotation 8AM-11AM 3 or fewer Saturdays a year.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

- Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, SQL

- Web application design

Nice-To-Haves:

- Comfortable with Linux on the command line

- Git version control experience

- Any experience doing software development in a business environment

- React Native and/or VueJS experience

- Computer networking knowledge
