Job description

We Create Products and Brands That People Trust to Clean, Sanitize, and Protect Their Homes and Pools

When you join KIK Consumer Products, youโ€™re joining a team that cares about the work we do and also about each other. We bring exceptional brands and products to consumers that help them protect the health and wellness of their families and the cleanliness of their homes and pools. We are committed to building a culture of performance driven by accountability, collaboration, and agility that enables timely fact-based decision-making and exceptional execution with unwavering ethics. As one of North Americaโ€™s largest independent manufacturers of consumer products, KIK helps a large portfolio of brands and retailers bring their products to life.

Your Role at KIK

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate I to join our 2nd Shift team in Houston, TX (2:00 PM โ€“ 10:30 PM, Monday โ€“ Friday, with occasional Saturdays based on business need ). This is an entry-level opportunity into our warehouse operations โ€” and a real foot in the door for candidates who want to grow within a large-scale manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will serve as a critical support resource across our blow mold production floor. A significant part of your day is dedicated to break relief coverage โ€” stepping in for packers, forklift operators, and palace operators on a rotating schedule that you will manage independently. Youโ€™ll also be responsible for keeping bottles moving on conveyor systems and preventing bottlenecks, loading and unloading raw and recyclable materials from trailers, separating recyclables, bailing cardboard, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.

This role operates with minimal day-to-day supervision. The right person is self-directed, clock-aware, and proactive โ€” someone who knows what needs to happen next without being told, and who looks for ways to improve the process when primary tasks are complete.

This position has an hourly rate of $18.54 per hour . Be a vital part of our team โ€” apply today.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

  • Safely maneuver product around the warehouse with a forklift (approximately 50% of your shift) and other material handling equipment.

  • Load and unload materials from trailers, ensuring proper handling.

  • Efficiently move materials in and around the department as necessary.

  • Execute loading documentation processes, adhering to Hazmat rules.

  • Perform packing duties and ensure final product quality, seeking guidance when needed.

  • Perform janitorial and warehouse cleaning duties and provide break coverage support as needed.

  • Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and all plant policies and procedures.

What Youโ€™ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Sit-down Forklift operating experience; 2 or more years required.

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

  • Ability to maintain visual concentration, alertness, and attentive listening for extended periods.

  • Manual dexterity to grasp and manipulate various packaging components.

  • Ability to adhere to Health, Safety, and GMP regulations.

  • Team player who works well with others and maintains positive working relationships.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and climb consistently throughout the shift.

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, including grasping, reaching, bending, and lifting.

  • Ability to lift up to 35โ€“40 pounds regularly.

  • Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and conveyor systems.

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions, including unpleasant odors, non-temperature-controlled settings with high temperatures and humidity, potential high noise levels depending on location, and regular interaction with various chemicals and chemical products.

What You Will Get

KIK offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. You can plan for your future with KIK's retirement savings options including employer match. KIK also recognizes the importance of continuing education and offers Education Assistance to our employees to encourage continued personal development and growth.
