Ultra Ceilings Inc. is a commercial ceiling contractor committed to delivering high-quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, and on-time project completion. We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support our project management team in coordinating commercial ceiling projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Position Summary

The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting the successful execution of commercial ceiling and specialty ceiling projects. This position works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

This opportunity is open to candidates with any level of experience. We are willing to train motivated individuals who are eager to learn the construction industry and grow within our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with planning and coordinating commercial ceiling projects.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, and material procurement.
  • Coordinate with field crews, suppliers, and general contractors.
  • Monitor project schedules and assist with maintaining project timelines.
  • Track project costs, change orders, and documentation.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare meeting notes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate project records and closeout documentation.
  • Support quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; construction experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar software is a plus.
  • Ability to read construction drawings is preferred but can be learned.
