Job description
This job includes three positions, host, busser, and runner. Working at a support staff member, you will be scheduled according to what the restaurant needs at that time.
Runner
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Works with Expo and Kitchen staff to ensure customers receive correct orders
- Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers
- Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
- Collects used plates when delivering meals and ensures customer has proper silverware, napkins and any other requests for their meals
- Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Greeter
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests to the venue.
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
- Manage reservations.
- Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas.
- Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress's name.
- Greet customers upon their departure.
- Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options.
Busser
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assuring compliance with all sanitation & other safety guidelines
- Monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables
- Knowledge of all table numbers and seat positions
- Pre-bussing, clearing, wiping tabletops, chairs & booths, and setting tables according to company policy
Runner
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Experience as a Food Expeditor or similar entry-level role in a restaurant
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends
- Multi-tasking abilities
