About the Role

As an Actuarial Intern reporting directly to our P&C Appointed Actuary, you'll be immersed in meaningful work that contributes to our company's success while developing your technical and professional capabilities in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Canadian statutory reserving and reporting under IFRS 17, gaining exposure to industry standards
  • Assist with financial forecast modelling, Financial Condition Testing (FCT) and the ORSA process
  • Contribute to the transition and stabilization of IFRS 17, collaborating with local and global project teams across functions including Finance and IT
  • Work on diverse projects and provide support to team members as needed
  • Apply analytical skills to solve real business problems while receiving mentorship from experienced actuaries

You'll join our dynamic P&C Actuarial team based in Toronto, working in a collaborative environment where innovation and analytical thinking are valued.   • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, with Visual Basic Programming capabilities
  • Demonstrated progress in actuarial exams
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
