Under the guidance of the Director of Learning & Development, the role of Learning & Development Assistant Media Specialist is to assist the department with producing digital content for over 10,000 East Penn employees worldwide. Currently, the department produces traditional video and 3D content, but expanding into 2D/ 3D game development and content for virtual reality and other computer-based training/ media modules.


Pre-Production

  • Assist with project coordination, script writing, and storyboard development

Production

  • Assist with b-roll acquisition in various manufacturing facilities using a news gathering approach to record various East Penn events
  • Assist with Green Screen HD Video Shoots and Live Video Production - Assembly of set, audio, lighting, and cameras
  • Photo and graphic asset development for training films and corporate updates

Post-Production

  • Digitize historical footage, produce dailies, and update the historical database
  • Perform all video editorial tasks; properly creating a project, logging footage, producing dailies, preliminary editorial, final edit, color timing through mastering
  • Perform 2D & 3D animation and compositing
  • Perform all sound editorials; post-production tasks such as sound design, noise reduction proper mixing, and mastering
  • Perform mastering duties ensuring final product is delivered to client in proper format/ compression
  • Performs and is flexible to learn new and miscellaneous, job-related duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in film, television, web, or commercial video production
  • Familiarity and understanding of media production including, but not limited to, editing software (Final Cut Pro), graphic software (Photoshop), and additional media software (Davinci Resolve).

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma or GED required

Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to work in an ever-changing, high-pressure, tight-deadline environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; can effectively listen and follow directions accurately
  • Proficient in multi-tasking, prioritizing and managing time effectively
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; a team player with proven ability to work across functional areas and all levels of the organization
