Job Description

The Coordinator, Social Media Content at NBC Sports plays a crucial role in ideation and execution for our company’s key sports properties. The ideal candidate has experience creating and executing best-in-class content and planning for live event coverage, and full seasons. This role is expected to bring creativity, platform expertise, and attention to detail to all tasks.

This full-time position sits on the NBC Sports marketing team and reports to the Associate Manager of Social Media Content for the NBC Sports, NBC Olympics, and On Her Turf accounts.

Location: Stamford, CT

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, create, publish, and monitor social content on all platforms
    • Live coverage of games and events on NBC and Peacock
    • Oversee community management on all platforms, including comment moderation, user-generated content development and social sentiment monitoring
    • Know, understand, and follow constantly evolving best practices on all key social media platforms under our purview (primarily Meta, TikTok, and X)
    • Work with NBC Sports production talent to develop content for in-studio and select on-site events
    • Coordinate with creative content team and external agency partners on content requests, quality control, and asset delivery
    • Liaise with agency partners for social content creation and community management during live event windows
    • Execute sponsored social content campaigns and ensures all branded sales content is properly published, tracked, and tagged
    • Develop weekly and season-long content calendars for assigned properties (alongside other coordinators and the Associate Manager)
    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field
    • Ability to create quickturn social video content using Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop)
    • Extensive knowledge of sports (men's and women’s) and social media culture
    • Experience and proficiency in all social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X and Facebook, Threads and BlueSky)
    • Experience with a variety of social and project management tools (Sprout Social, Airtable, Monday.com, etc.)
    • 1+ years relevant work experience

    Additional Requirements:

    • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
    • This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
