Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Facilities Assistant to support our Facilities Manager in overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and operations of two company locations. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone eager to learn and grow within facilities and maintenance operations. The right candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to assist with a variety of facility-related tasks.
This is intended to be a full-time position; however, we are open to part-time candidates currently enrolled in a trade school or vocational program.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with the Facilities Manager to support operations across two facilities
  • Assist with general building maintenance and repairs
  • Perform entry-level plumbing, electrical, construction, and handyman-related tasks that can be handled internally
  • Support preventative maintenance and facility upkeep projects
  • Identify maintenance issues and communicate when outside vendors or contractors may be required
  • Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and facility setup projects
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
  • Respond to facility-related requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal coordination, landscaping oversight, and general exterior upkeep
  • Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications
  • Strong willingness to learn and take direction
  • Positive attitude with a hands-on, team-oriented approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Basic knowledge or interest in plumbing, electrical, construction, or general maintenance preferred
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials or equipment as needed
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required
  • Previous facilities, maintenance, construction, or trade school experience is a plus but not required
