Job description

QuarterLine (QL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Occupational Medical Services healthcare team at Tinker Air Force Base, OK. This position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population within a dynamic clinical environment.


The LPN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses while supporting occupational health services, patient assessments, treatments, documentation, and clinical operations. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, and compliance with military healthcare standards.

  • Duty Location: Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. No Telework allowed.
  • Duty Hours: Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1600. 

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for delivering safe, effective patient care across a range of needs and conditions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine nursing procedures, including wound care, catheterizations, and other duties within scope of practice.
  • Assist with patient assessments and promptly report changes in patient condition.
  • Support diagnostic testing and minor medical procedures.
  • Educate patients and families regarding health maintenance, medications, and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic and written medical records.
  • Ensure proper cleanliness, storage, and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
  • Assist with orientation and training of newly assigned personnel as needed.
  • Provide telephone triage support and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Maintain professional nursing standards and comply with all applicable Military Treatment Facility (MTF), Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), and organizational policies.
  • Support clinic operations by providing coverage during staff absences, as required.

  • Degree/Education: Graduation from State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program or completion of equivalent military training that permits sitting for the State licensure examination.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of practical nursing experience in a clinical setting within the past five (5) years.
  • Legal Authorization to Work in the United States: The contract worker performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Licensure: Contract workers requiring LPN/LVN licensure shall have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license specific to the position (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) in one of the 50 US States and/or territories. Additional licenses held by a provider must be in good standing whether they are inactive, expired, or limit the provider’s practice to a military setting. The healthcare provider’s license(s) must remain current, valid, and unrestricted throughout the duration of the contract worker performance on the contract.
  • Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Certification cards must display the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Web-based (on-line) classes are not acceptable by the Government.

  • Previous experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) or Military Treatment Facility (MTF) environment.
  • Experience in occupational medicine, primary care, or ambulatory care settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and military healthcare operations.

  • Occupational Health: The contract worker shall be required to obtain documentation of required physical testing or a report of a physical examination.
  • Tuberculosis Screening: The Contractor ensure contract workers shall be screened for tuberculosis (TB). In addition, contract worker will be screened prior to reporting for services at the place of performance for the following: N/A
  • Health Requirements. The Contractor shall provide documentation certifying health requirements such as immunizations, annual vaccinations, and physical examination when required at the time of initial placement.
