Job description

TI Builders is a national commercial construction firm with nearly 40 years of success built on doing things the right way. We’re growing and looking for an Estimator / Project Manager with at least 3 years of commercial construction experience to join our team in Florida.

This role is not entry-level and not residential or multi-family. We’re looking for someone who knows commercial tenant improvements, works well independently, and takes full ownership of their projects from start to finish. If you trust your skills, value autonomy, and hold yourself to a high professional standard, you’ll fit right in.

What We’re Looking For

The right candidate:

  • Thrives with limited supervision and manages their workload independently
  • Stays engaged, proactive, and solutions-focused—even when things get challenging
  • Is comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-moving commercial market
  • Communicates clearly, confidently, and honestly
  • Takes full accountability for their work and outcomes
  • Knows when to trust their experience—and when to ask questions

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Responsibilities typically include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing estimates, take-offs, and material pricing
  • Assisting with project documentation and cost tracking
  • Coordinating and communicating with subcontractors during bidding
  • Conducting site visits and job walks
  • Managing temporary site needs (dumpsters, storage, restrooms, equipment, etc.)
  • Preparing and distributing budgets, RFIs, submittals, subcontracts, and change orders
  • Supporting project close-out documentation

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial construction experience
    (Tenant improvement experience strongly preferred)
  • Commercial-only background required
    (No residential or multi-family experience)
  • Strong understanding of estimating and project management for TI work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform and grow with minimal oversight
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)

Why TI Builders

Our culture is built on accountability, continuous improvement, and respect. Mistakes happen—but we address them directly, fix the process, and move forward as a team. We don’t manage with negativity, but we do expect exceptional work and a positive, professional attitude.

For the right person, TI Builders offers more than a job—we offer a long-term career with room to grow.
