Overview:


The Trim Development Assistant will support the Fabric/Trim, Design, and Sourcing teams to track and catalog developments throughout the course of the materials lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist  with maintaining seasonal trim assortments to ensure information is accurate and up to date
  • Help update trim standard charts and prepare materials for bi-weekly team reviews
  • Help ensure the materials library is organized and easily accessible for designers to access
  • Support communication with overseas offices to track updates and share information on trim development
  • Participate in trim review meetings and help to track feedback and follow-up items
  • Assist with the preparation of trim projection charts for sampling
  • Conduct online research and assist in identifying current and emerging trends, new materials, and vendor innovations for upcoming seasons
  • Help create seasonal trend boards and presentation materials for design and sourcing teams
  • Assist with documenting and distributing seasonal trim standards to sourcing partners
  • Special projects as assigned


Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Textile/Product Development or related field
  • Prior internships and/or related experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
