  • Review and interpret IFC/IFT drawings, specifications, and architectural details to produce preliminary drawings for assigned projects.
  • Prepare and issue RFIs (Requests for Information) to Project Management for design clarification or site condition conflicts.
  • Generate fabrication drawings and documentation for shop production, ensuring all details and part lists are complete.
  • Design simple sheet metal assemblies and flat patterns in AutoCAD.
  • Utilize other drafting software such as SolidWorks and REVIT as required.
  • Issue pipe bending programs and required fabrication data to shop staff.
  • Support development of advanced aluminum and steel railing systems under the guidance of senior designers or engineers.
  • Communicate proactively with shop personnel, providing clarification or technical support when required.
  • Issue glass and material takeoff regarding hardware and parts for assigned projects.
  • Design railing fasteners and anchoring systems using internal standards or with support from Engineering team.

  • Minimum 2+ years of drafting experience within manufacturing, metal fabrication, or construction environments.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); familiarity with Revit, SolidWorks, or Inventor is considered an asset.
