The Opportunity
As a Sustainability R&A - Intern, you will engage in projects that enhance the credibility of sustainability reporting, focusing on environmental, social, and governance disclosures. Within our Assurance practice, you will support teams by participating in projects and conducting research, gaining exposure to PwC's methodologies. This role offers a chance to observe and contribute to the success of client engagements, providing a foundation for your professional growth.
As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will support teams with basic tasks, observe professional work environments, and participate in projects. This role emphasizes developing your personal brand and understanding the business landscape. In this role at PwC, you will have the opportunity to apply a learning mindset, actively listen, and express ideas clearly, all while contributing to the team's success.
Responsibilities
- Supporting sustainability reporting initiatives by gathering and analyzing data related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics
- Participating in the preparation of sustainability reports in alignment with established reporting standards such as GRI and TCFD
- Assisting in the evaluation of climate finance and nature finance mechanisms to support sustainability projects
- Engaging in data modeling and analysis to provide insights for sustainability performance improvement
- Collaborating with teams to conduct materiality assessments and prioritize significant ESG issues for reporting
- Observing and learning from experienced auditors to understand the processes of providing independent assessments
- Contributing to the development of technical solutions for enhancing sustainability reporting processes
- Applying a learning mindset to gain exposure to PwC's practices and methodologies in sustainability reporting
- Actively listening and asking questions to enhance understanding and contribute effectively to team projects
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Sustainable Resource Management, Environmental Science, Finance
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application
