Job description

Job Summary:  Performs all functions related to sterile processing and surgical case cart processing in accordance with established standards.  These functions, include, but are not limited to, decontamination, surgical instrument processing, instrument/instrument set assembly, sterilization, surgical case cart assembly and medical equipment cleaning/disinfection.  Personally responsible for obtaining CEU's, bookkeeping and applications to maintain professional Certification.

Qualifications:   High School diploma.  Certified (and maintains) Instrument Technician Certification (i.e. CRCST or CBSPD) or related equivalent certification.  Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.  Ability to follow written instructions, ability to use computers and other mechanical equipment.
