Summit Spine and Joint Centers (SSJC) is a rapidly growing, multi-state spine and joint care organization providing integrated clinical, surgical, and imaging services. With clinic locations across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, our care teams include IPS in North Carolina and Savannah Pain Management in Georgia, all operating as part of the SSJC organization. We are committed to collaboration, high-quality patient-centered care, and supporting our teams as we continue to expand. We are seeking motivated, qualified professionals to join us in delivering exceptional care across our growing network.
We are seeking a full-time Area Charge Nurse for our metro Atlanta clinics. While this role will primarily support our Gainesville, Braselton, and Lawrenceville clinics, the ideal candidate must be willing and able to commute to other clinics throughout the metro Atlanta area as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Support certification efforts from a nursing perspective for JCAHO/AAA/ACHC/State inspections
  • Responsible for direction of patient care in the ambulatory care setting.
  • Manages staff members in the surgery centers.
  • Establish personal rapport with patients
  • Maintains nursing staff by orienting and training nurses, putting nurse schedules together
  • Ensure that all daily tasks are completed by the nurses or staff
  • Provide a compassionate environment for patients and staff
  • Establishing patient care goals
  • Teach and counsel patients and staff
  • Reinforce understanding of disease, medications and self-care skills
  • Answer questions that patients or staff might have
  • Resolve patient needs by utilizing a multidisciplinary team strategy
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Protect patients and staff by supporting infection-control policies and protocols
  • Enforce medication administration and controlled substance regulations
  • Ensure operation of medical and administrative equipment by verifying emergency equipment, preventive maintenance requirements, manufacturer’s instructions, calling for repairs, maintain equipment inventory and evaluating new equipment.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding operations, fire, safety and infection control
  • Effectively and consistently communicates administrative directives to personnel and encourages interactive departmental meetings and discussions
  • Maintain nursing supplies like inventory
  • Has a cooperative relationship by communicating information, requests and problem solving.
  • Follow the quality of care developed and interpreted by the nursing division’s philosophy and standard of care.
Qualifications:
  • Good standing RN License for the State of Georgia without limitations
  • Nursing Compact License preferred, required to be obtained within first 90 days of employment
  • 4+ years of nursing experience required
  • 1+ years of nursing management experience preferred
  • Experience with regulatory certification processes preferred
  • Charge Nurse experienced applicants will take top priority
  • Ability to travel to ASC locations throughout listed Regions
  • BLS and ACLS Certified
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
