Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Steel Erectors/Iron Workers for projects located in the Knoxville, TN area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $24/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Steel Erector/Iron Worker and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
  • Erect and install structural steel stairs handrails and miscellaneous metals
  • Bolt weld align and secure steel components according to project specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings and layout plans
  • Safely operate hand and power tools commonly used in ironwork
  • Work at heights while following all osha and jobsite safety requirements
  • Assist with rigging material handling and equipment setup as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements
  • Ability to read construction drawings and follow directions
  • Experience using ironworker hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
  • OSHA 10 certification is a plus but not required
