Workers in these roles are typically new to the trade and focus on learning basic welding skills, safety procedures, and how to operate welding equipment specifically for stainless steel. These positions usually require a high school diploma or equivalent, and some employers may offer on-the-job training or require completion of a welding certification program. Entry level welders are responsible for preparing materials, performing simple welds, and assisting more experienced welders on larger projects.
