ABOUT THIS ROLE
St. Michael's is hiring to fill a Junior Financial Specialist position to support a Department of Defense client. As the Junior Financial Specialist, you will assist in performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your ability to learn quickly and operate efficiently.ย  Our core value of Teamwork will be paramount to this role as you will be supporting the larger team in executing accounting actions associated with a formal Tri-Annual review using systems and tools required to perform document reconciliation for all accounts.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with automated tools.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide advice and technical assistance on continuing resolution allocations, apportionments, allowances, and requests for additional funds.
  • Create Purchase Requests/Funding Documents (MIPR's, Form 9's) in the DEAMS and route/follow up on certification.
  • Issue FADs in EFD to various Fund Centers.
  • Process FDRs/AF Form 1269 target loads in DEAMS and GAFS BQ.
  • Assist with DARQ functions in ADVANA.
  • Review daily Status of Funds to determine available authority, commitments, and obligations.
