Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description

The Human Resources Coordinator supports a wide range of HR activities for hourly employees, including recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and administrative HR processes. This role ensures that applicants and employees receive timely, accurate support and that HR documentation and systems remain organized and up to date.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit for hourly positions by coordinating candidate outreach, screening, and interview logistics.
  • Coordinate interview schedules for applicants, ensuring timely communication with candidates and interviewers.
  • Arrange pre-employment processes such as drug screens and physical examinations, and track completion of these requirements.
  • Support new hire onboarding by helping conduct orientations and ensuring that new employees receive necessary information and documentation.
  • Enter training documentation into Alchemy for non-Alchemy-based trainings and maintain accurate training records.
  • Assist with job postings and bids for union roles, including posting openings on a bid board and tracking responses.
  • Possibly assist with weekly overtime posting and crewing activities to support staffing needs.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR function, including data entry, document management, and recordkeeping.
  • Direct employees to the appropriate HR resource or team member for questions, issues, and support.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure consistent application of HR processes and policies.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in human resources, which may include internships or entry-level HR roles.
  • Hands-on experience with data entry and maintaining accurate HR records.
  • Experience supporting onboarding and orientation processes for new employees.
  • Administrative support experience within an HR or office environment.
  • Recruiting experience for hourly or similar positions.
  • Experience using HRIS systems; familiarity with Workday is preferred but any HRIS experience is required.

The environment is fast-paced and process-driven, with a focus on accurate documentation, timely communication, and consistent support for hourly and union workforce needs. Professional attire appropriate for an HR office setting is expected.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
