About This Job

You play a crucial role in maintaining the backbone of our automotive service operations. As an Automotive Parts Stock Person, you ensure our technicians have immediate access to the right parts, keeping vehicles moving and customers satisfied. You are the organizational expert who manages the flow of essential components, directly impacting efficiency and service quality. This position offers a dynamic environment where your precision and dedication make a tangible difference every day.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages Inventory Management: Organizes, stores, and tracks all automotive parts within the warehouse, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Performs Stock Control: Conducts regular cycle counts and inventory audits, identifying discrepancies and maintaining accurate records.
  • Executes Shipping & Receiving: Unloads, inspects, and verifies incoming parts shipments against purchase orders. Prepares and packages outgoing parts for delivery or return.
  • Maintains Warehouse Operations: Keeps the parts department clean, orderly, and safe, adhering to all safety protocols and best practices.
  • Facilitates Parts Ordering: Assists with identifying and requesting necessary parts, ensuring timely replenishment of stock.
  • Handles Material Handling: Operates various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move and position heavy or bulky automotive parts safely and efficiently.
  • Performs Data Entry: Accurately inputs parts information, inventory movements, and shipping details into the inventory management system.
  • Ensures Organization Skills: Arranges parts systematically, making them easily accessible and minimizing search time for service technicians.
  • Applies Attention to Detail: Verifies part numbers, quantities, and conditions with meticulous accuracy to prevent errors and ensure correct stock.
Required Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Entry-level experience in a warehouse, retail, or automotive parts environment

Knowledge/Skills

  • Understands basic Inventory Management principles
