Students who have completed their Master / Bachelors / MBA and other entry level professionals who have worked in IT or want to build their carrier in IT are welcome to apply. Job Description
Role: Network Administrator
Location: Bolingbrook, IL 60440
Duration: 6+ months
Project work will revolve around Microsoft product(s).
* Microsoft Certification is a plus
-Candidate should have Migrating OS exp as will be working on End Of Life Project
-VMware experience Needed
-Exp upgrading servers from 03 to 08 needed
Responsible for deploying the release of new technologies as well as the design, installation, configuration, maintenance and system integration testing performance of PC/server operating systems, related utilities and hardware.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products.
โ€ข Controls user access and passwords.
โ€ข Proposes and implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
โ€ข Monitors usage and performance.
โ€ข Trains personnel on system usage.
โ€ข Troubleshoots server, software and hardware issues.
โ€ข Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs.
โ€ข Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products.
โ€ข Supports Web access and electronic messaging services, and maintains a secure systems environment.
โ€ข Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth.
โ€ข Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
โ€ข Knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware
โ€ข Knowledge of storage management
โ€ข Knowledge of TCP/IP
โ€ข Knowledge of network monitoring and tools
โ€ข Knowledge of technical writing principles and practices
โ€ข Skill to effectively analyze and solve problems
โ€ข Skill in software installation and maintenance
โ€ข Ability to work independently as well as with a team
โ€ข Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
โ€ข Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients and public
