Controls Project Engineer II
Vanderlande's Controls Engineering Department is responsible for the designing, programming, commissioning, and testing of material handling systems for our customers.
This is an entry level position, as a Controls Project Engineer II, you will be responsible for commissioning /testing, the design of both small- and large-scale material handling systems that integrate hardware and software components. This position emphasizes PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) aspects of the system; however, SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) activities may also be included as part of the job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure component level devices
  • Perform device level testing in support of PLC commissioning
  • Perform device level testing in support of SCADA commissioning
  • Document device level testing for PLC and SCADA commissioning (commissioning Checklist)
  • Perform zone level testing in support of PLC commissioning
  • Perform zone level testing in support of SCADA commissioning
  • Document zone level testing for PLC and SCADA commissioning (commissioning Checklist)
  • Assist with area level testing in support of PLC commissioning
  • Assist with area level testing in support of SCADA commissioning
  • Document daily progress of assigned tasks
  • Manage punch lists (electrical / mechanical)
  • Monitor and document the progress of subcontractors
  • Follow all safety requirements at the jobsite
