Description

ZenPoint Solutions LLC ("ZenPoint Solutions") is a rapidly expanding Information Technology (IT) services company in the federal sector. We foster a thriving, ambitious work environment that prioritizes employee well-being and a positive company culture. We invite you to join our team and help us shape a dynamic future as we deliver innovative solutions to address the nation's most critical IT missions.

Clearance Requirement: None required at the time of application, though Public Trust or higher is preferred. Candidates must be eligible to receive and maintain a Public Trust.

Work Location: Huntsville, AL

Work Schedule (Onsite): Onsite 5 days a week (M-F) with core working hours of 9am-3pm CST.

Position Overview: ZenPoint Solutions is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support a federal law enforcement agency's major enterprise application modernization initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the modernized, microservices-driven software application meets strict standards of quality, including structural reliability, usability, and peak performance required for public release.

Working closely with software developers, the government Product Owner, and technical monitors, you will design and implement repeatable, automated testing suites built directly into an active DevSecOps pipeline. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in automated testing frameworks, defect tracking, and regression testing within highly secure federal cloud environments.

This position is contingent upon the successful award of a government contract and subsequent government approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Strategy & Design: Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to improve application usability and performance.
  • Pipeline Automation: Incorporate automated test suites directly into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure 100% automated test execution for every code build.
  • Regression & Performance Vetting: Implement and maintain automated regression test suites that successfully cover and validate critical business functions across each software release cycle.
  • Pipeline Quality Gates: Enforce automated quality gates within the pipeline, ensuring 100% of code builds pass comprehensive tests with zero critical defects prior to environment promotion or deployment.
  • Vulnerability & Compliance Scanning: Oversee the integration of security vulnerability scanning and Section 508 accessibility compliance checks directly into the automated deployment workflow.
  • Defect Lifecycle Tracking: Identify, analyze, and systematically document software defects within a centralized agile management tool, tracking 100% of issues to formal remediation and resolution.
  • Requirements Traceability: Participate in collaborative product design reviews to provide testing feedback on functional requirements, project schedules, or architectural risks, ensuring absolute commit traceability to user stories.
  • Database & Integration Testing: Develop highly specific test programs addressing database impacts, multi-layer software integration scenarios, negative testing, and error-retest validations.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selected
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Test Engineer or Quality Assurance Specialist
  • Practical experience managing defect logs, test scripts, and pipeline results within an Agile Scrum framework.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) from an accredited institution is preferred but optional.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge: Experience executing automated tests and diagnostic scripts inside Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure environments.
  • Professional Certification: An active AWS Certified Machine Learning certification.
  • Section 508 & Accessibility Vetting: Demonstrated experience running automated or manual accessibility compliance tools (keyboard navigation, screen reader alignment) within a web interface environment.
