As a Quality Assurance Analyst you will be responsible of identifying high-level test scenarios, write test cases, and execute manual test scripts, report and follow-up on resolution of defects. In addition, you will be responsible to carry out all QA related tasks as per the defined standards and procedures and deliver in a timely manner.
This is a remote position with the option for in-person attendance in a TELUS Health office, if available in your area.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Functional Leads, Business Analysts, Solution Designers or Developers to have a clear understanding of the testing scope
  • Analyze technical documents to identify high-level test scenarios
  • Apply structured testing techniques to develop positive and negative test cases
  • Build manual test scripts by identifying expected results and corresponding test data for execution
  • Maintain the test suite up to date based on newly added or change in existing functionalities
  • Prioritize test execution based on priority assigned to test cases
  • Execute manual test scripts, capture actual results and report defects
  • Follow-up on resolution of defects within the established timeframe and perform
  • Work closely and report testing progress to QA Leads
  • Raise the flag when foreseeing major risks in terms of deadline or on the quality
  • Carry out all QA related tasks as per the defined standards and procedures
  • Meet deadlines by properly managing and prioritizing assigned tasks

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in software quality assurance
  • Experience with automation, an asset
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, an asset
  • Be able to put themselves in the shoes of our clients (understand what external customers require from a testing perspective)
  • Ability to use of a combination of concepts (ideas, strategies, methodologies from learning and past experience) and data (facts, information from research and investigation) to approach problems in a structured manner
  • Clear, constructive and adaptable communication when interracting with stakeholders
  • Ability to think from the users' perspective
  • Never compromise on quality and remain open to suggestions
  • Curious, disciplined, creative
  • Detailed oriented and analytical
  • Ability to take ownership and remaining accountabley, i.e. deliver as per stated and planned

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

Salary Range 39,900.00 - 74,100.00 CAD
