ABOUT THE JOB
We're seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to support the transition of customer designs into production. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational CAD skills looking to grow in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with Sales and Engineering to develop tooling and processes that meet customer needs.
SHIFT: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (occasional evenings/weekends)
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Use 2D CAD software to assist in creating basic production tooling and layouts.
  • Review customer drawings to identify and clarify dimensional details.
  • Follow established tooling guidelines provided by Sales and Engineering.
  • Maintain organized documentation including drawings, procedures, and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support drawing development.
  • Ensure tooling designs meet basic safety and ergonomic standards.
  • Perform additional duties in support of the CAD department as may be required

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Vocational training or coursework in CAD or Drafting Technology preferred.
  • Entry-level experience in a manufacturing or technical environment is a plus.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar 2D design software.
  • Willingness to learn 3D design tools like SolidWorks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions and retain technical information.
  • Understanding of drafting standards (GD&T knowledge is a plus, but not required).
