What You Will Do - Essential Functions
The Software Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and readiness of web-based applications throughout the software development lifecycle. This role partners closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, design and execute comprehensive test strategies, and identify risks early in the delivery process. The Software Quality Analyst performs a range of testing activities-including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing-to validate system behavior, surface defects, and support high-quality releases. In addition to hands-on testing, this role actively contributes to Agile teams, supports user acceptance testing, promotes continuous improvement of QA practices, and helps ensure quality standards are met from initial concept through deployment and production support.
  • Test Strategy & Quality Execution

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases aligned to business and technical requirements, ensuring full SDLC coverage.
    • Execute manual and automated testing (functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, post-deployment), leveraging tools like Postman and Playwright to drive efficiency and quality.

  • Defect Management, Risk, & Reporting

    • Identify, track, and validate defects; partner with engineering to troubleshoot issues, verify fixes, and support production as needed.
    • Assess risk, adapt to changing priorities, and provide clear reporting on test execution, defect status, and deployment readiness.

  • Collaboration, UAT, & Operational Support

    • Collaborate cross-functionally in Agile ceremonies and during UAT to ensure alignment with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
    • Support global and release operations through off-hours testing, early-morning collaboration with offshore teams, and continuous improvement of QA standards and metrics.

Who You Are
  • Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent practical experience in software quality assurance.
    • Demonstrated experience as a mid-level QA Engineer or Analyst, contributing to end-to-end testing efforts across multiple releases.
    • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance principles within Agile/Scrum environments.
    • Hands-on experience designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web-based and/or API-driven applications using both manual and automated methodologies.
    • Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools; able to clearly document, communicate, and validate defects end to end.
    • Experience collaborating within cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., product, engineering, business stakeholders).
    • Working knowledge of relational databases and the ability to query data to support testing and validation.
    • Familiarity with at least one testing specialty, such as test automation, API testing, or non-functional testing (performance, load, or reliability).
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and delivery timelines.

    • Work is performed from home with company-provided equipment. Sitting for long periods of time is expected and use of fingers and hands for typing is necessary.
