Job description

Electromechanical Assembly Technician

Pay Rate: $18–$20/hour
Location: Worcester, MA
Duration: Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM


Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Electromechanical Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling, soldering, testing, and inspecting small electromechanical components and products. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good hand dexterity, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions and assembly procedures.

Previous manufacturing experience is helpful, but candidates with soldering training or relevant hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and secure electronic and electromechanical components using hand tools and soldering equipment.
  • Perform hand soldering and other assembly operations according to established specifications and procedures.
  • Build and test electromechanical components and assemblies.
  • Follow work instructions, fabrication procedures, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.
  • Perform visual and quality inspections to ensure completed assemblies meet requirements.
  • Identify assembly or quality issues and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Complete rework and repair activities as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Properly care for and maintain tools and production equipment.
  • Follow all applicable safety and quality procedures.
  • Perform additional production and assembly duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Ability to perform hand soldering and successfully complete required soldering certification.
  • Strong hand dexterity and ability to work with small components.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and wiring diagrams.
  • Good visual acuity for inspecting small components and finished assemblies.
  • Strong reliability and willingness to learn.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required.
  • Soldering experience, vocational training, or technical coursework is preferred.
  • No prior office software experience is required.

  • May encounter moderate heat, dust, or other typical manufacturing-environment conditions.
