About this role

The Crewed team within Land Systems, Hunt Valley is seeking Software Engineers to join our team! We want engineers who have the passion to apply a diverse set of technologies and skills to create indispensable robotic solutions. Work is conducted on research and development initiatives that enable our land products and programs. In this role, you will be responsible for: 

  • Tasks related to the full software development life cycle including design, development, build, integration, test, and delivery. 

Qualifications: 

Basic Qualifications - Level I

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/CIS/MIS or a related field 
  • Experience with Linux and Windows development environments preferred 
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week, on a 9/80 schedule (with every other Friday off!)

Preferred Qualifications
    Understanding of general automotive systems and functions
    Understanding of robotics systems including sensors, actuators, mechanical, algorithms and software systems
    Professional experience in autonomous driving or robotics industry with experience in software/system integration and field-testing a plus
    C/C /Java programming experience
    Basic shell scripting experience
    Network/Serial/CAN interface development experience
    Knowledgeable of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA)/Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
    Comfortable working in Unix based development environments
    Experience with MIL-STD-882E software development preferred 
    Experience with UML or MBSE tools like MagicDraw preferred
    Effective writing and presentation skills
    Experience interfacing directly with customers

MUST be able to obtain a US Security Clearance 

Education & Experience Levels

    Experience levels will be determined by a hiring team. Experience recommendations below:
o    Level I Engineer: typically, 0 - 1 year of experience

        - $79,300- 110,000

o    Level II Engineer: typically, 2 years of experience 

        - $88,000 - 133,000
