The anticipated salary range for this role is between $158,000.00 and $205,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. Role Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a Capital Markets Technology team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting mission-critical front-office trading applications that enable trade capture, pricing, risk analytics, workflow automation, client onboarding, and integration with downstream trading platforms.
This hands-on Java development role offers the opportunity to deliver high-performance solutions, drive continuous improvement of the technology platform, and collaborate with a global team in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Role Objectives
• Hands-on development using Java 21/25 as the primary language
• Design, develop, and support front-office pre-trade applications used by traders, sales, structurers, and risk managers. The role focuses on trade capture, pricing, risk analytics, workflow automation, client onboarding, and integration with downstream trading and booking systems.
• Continuous improvement of the development and release environment, tooling, and processes.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Work closely with the operation team and users and provide level 3 support as required
• Understand complex business model
• Ability to deliver high-performance software and mission-critical applications in demanding, high-pressure environments.
• The candidate will have to work with a diverse global team and user base.
Qualifications and Skills
• Hands-on development with Java as the primary language; experience with Java 21/25
• Experience of working in pricing and risk domain in investment banking
• Strong fundamental computer science knowledge including concurrency, algorithms and data structures.
• Proactive self-starter who can take initiative and roll up sleeves to get things done.
• Scrum/agile methodology
• Knowledge of CI/CD on large complex systems
