Job description

Overview
Big Sky Resort's Retail Team is seeking responsible, motivated, and detail-oriented individuals with a passion for boot fitting and guest service. While previous boot fitting experience and a basic understanding of biomechanics are preferred, they are not required. Training is provided, including custom footbed construction and boot fitting techniques. A general knowledge of current ski boot models and related products is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Provide professional boot fittings for guests of all ability levels in Big Sky Sports or Peak Pros Outlets
  • Apply training to assess needs and recommend appropriate boots, liners, or modifications
  • Maintain a friendly and knowledgeable presence with every guest interaction
  • Utilize available tools and resources to create lasting customer relationships and drive sales
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
  • Stay up to date on resort knowledge, including activities, services, and surrounding area points of interest
  • Required to preform all functions of a retail sales associate

Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work both independently and within a team
  • Sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to retain product knowledge and technical information
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high guest volume

Physical Requirements:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods to provide sales floor support
  • Sit for extended periods of time when boot fitting
  • Frequently bend, squat, kneel, and reach overhead
  • Ability to lift, push or pull at least 35 pounds
  • Carry products, tools, and boxes up and down stairs
  • Use tools such as grinders, heat guns, and other boot fitting equipment
  • Comfortable climbing ladders
