Job description

Overview

As a Retail Ski Boot Fitter at Sugarloaf, your primary responsibility is to deliver world-class customer service by ensuring each guest is fitted with the right ski boots to optimize both comfort and performance. Your role requires the ability to quickly assess customer needs and ability levels and apply expert techniques to help maximize their fun and safety on the slopes. 


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on ski and snowboard boot selection, maintenance, and care
  • Assess customer foot shape, stance, and biomechanics to recommend appropriate products
  • Create custom footbeds, use heat-molding, and apply other fitting techniques to ensure an optimal fit and performance
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience
  • Support other retail operations as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with boot fitting tools and techniques
  • Passion for skiing, snowboarding, and the outdoor mountain lifestyle
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

  • have previous experience in ski or outdoor retail, demonstrating a passion for the outdoors
  • be proficient with custom fitting tools and equipment
  • possess up-to-date knowledge of current boot brands, technologies, and models
  • communicate with others well and be a supportive team player
  • be patient and understanding with resort guests to meet their needs

Full-Time, Year-Round Sugarloaf Team Member Benefits include:
