Responsible for safely transporting and delivering products or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form, while abiding by all state and local traffic laws.Key ResponsibilitiesAlways maintain conscientiousness for safety while driving, as well as performing all other dutiesMust complete all Truck Driver Training and Development ProgramsFull compliance with all FMCSA/DOT regulations and other Company policies and procedures as applicableHaul, load, and handle products as assigned while maintaining efficiencies, such as fuel and best hauling and loading practicesInspects truck for defects before, during, and after trips and submits report indicating truck conditionObtains schedule of load times and locations for the day and drives truck to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skillsMust be able to back up and maneuver in and around tight areasMaintains electronic driver log according to DOTregulationsRegularly inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and waterMakes truck and/or trailer available for scheduled maintenanceTypical EducationHigh School Diploma or General EducationDegree (GED)CDL Truck Driver SchoolRelevant ExperienceA minimum of two (2) years of experience operating commercial vehicles under a CDL-A license is required.RequirementsMust have a valid Class A CDL with proper endorsements Must have a current/valid DOT Medical CertificationMust be at least 21 years of age due to travel requirements, or 18 years of age to operate solely in intrastate capacity only.Must meet DOTqualificationsMust accurately and timely complete Company and DOT required formsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
